This Privacy Policy explains what information Hug the Patriarchy collects, how we use it, and when we share it.

Information we collect

When you place an order, we collect:

  • your name and email address;
  • your U.S. shipping address;
  • your order quantity, payment method, and order status;
  • your Venmo handle, if you pay with Venmo; and
  • your optional answer to the family-project question after checkout.

Our hosting and other service providers may also receive basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser or device information, the page you request, and the time of your visit.

How we use information

We use information to process, fulfill, ship, and support orders; process payments; match Venmo payments; prevent fraud; keep business and tax records; respond to requests; and understand the optional family-project answer.

Payments

Card payments are handled through Stripe. Card details are entered into Stripe’s secure payment fields. We do not store your full card number or security code on this site.

When we share information

We share information with service providers that help us operate the site and fulfill orders, including Cloudflare for hosting and database storage, Stripe for card payments, and Venmo when you choose Venmo.

We may also share information when reasonably necessary to comply with the law, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or protect people or property.

We do not sell personal information or use order information for targeted advertising.

Cookies and third-party services

We do not currently use our own analytics or advertising cookies. Stripe, YouTube, Google Fonts, and other third parties may use cookies or similar technologies when their resources are loaded or when you visit their sites. Their privacy policies apply to their services.

How long we keep information

We keep information as long as reasonably needed to fulfill orders, provide support, maintain business and tax records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We review information periodically and delete it when it is no longer needed.

Your privacy choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to opt out of certain uses.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
